Explanation of the Principle of a Throttling Device:
When a fluid (liquid or gas) passes through a throttling device, its pressure rises slightly upstream, but when the fluid is forced to converge on the throttling device, the flow rate increases and the fluid pressure decreases. Downstream of the throttling device, the fluid reaches the point of maximum convergence, the vena contracta, where the flow rate is at its maximum and the pressure is at its minimum, beyond which the flow rate expands, the velocity decreases, and the pressure increases. By measuring the difference in fluid pressure upstream and downstream of the throttling device, it is possible to use the coefficients derived from a large number of studies to derive the flow rate according to Bernoulli’s equation. The throttling device (differential pressure flow meter) produced by our company is divided into two categories: standard throttling device and non-standard throttling device. Standard throttling device: standard orifice plate (orifice plate flowmeter), ISA1932 standard nozzle (nozzle flowmeter), long-diameter nozzle, classic venturi nozzle, and venturi nozzle. Non-standard throttling devices: large-diameter orifice plate (DN>1000mm, orifice plate flowmeter), circular short orifice plate, eccentric orifice plate, 1/4 circular orifice plate, circular orifice plate, wear-resistant orifice plate, conical inlet orifice plate, double orifice plate, built-in orifice plate, end orifice plate, restriction of flow orifice plate, large-diameter Venturi tube (DN>1200mm), rectangular Venturi, insertion Venturi tube, wing-type wind measurement device, V cone flowmeter, wedge flowmeter, elbow flowmeter, balanced flowmeter (multi-orifice plate flowmeter) and so on.
